Gone2Korea Job And Visa Procedures Summary

Make sure you currently have, or can obtain all of the required documentation that will be required for teaching English in Korea

Speak with a Gone2Korea senior representative about your requests, teacing preferences, location preferences, starting dates and so on.

Review the job offer(s) presented to you by your Gone2korea representative

Conduct interviews with the school(s) you are interested in. If the interview is a success, a formal offer will be made and a contract offered.

Review the contract and correspond with the other western staff at the school

Sign and date the contract

Mail first group of required documents to your school in Korea.  Once your school receives the documents they will submit them to the local Korean immigration office.  Documents will include: Original diploma (or notarized and verified copy of your diploma), 1 set of officially sealed transcripts, notarized and verified Criminal Background Check, 3 official passport photos, completed E2 health statement, photocopy of your passport profile page, hard copy of your resume, and the signed and dated contract.

Wait for Korean Immigration to process your documents and offer your visa issuance number

Schedule an interview with the Korean Consulate that serves your region and make an appointment to have an in person interview with them.

Offer the second set of required documents to the Korea Consulate which includes your visa issuance number, visa application form, valid passport, 1 set of officially sealed transcripts, 1 official passport photo in color, consulate processing fee, photocopies of your degree/diploma and Criminal Background Check

Conduct interview with a Korean consulate representative.

Pick up your stamped passport from the consulate. Your official Korean working visa will be directly mounted on one of your passport pages. If you're not within driving distance than the consulate will mail your passport back to your home address. Please make sure to offer the consulate a pre paid priority mail envelope for your returning items.

Get ready for your departure. Receive your flight itinerary and final E-Ticket

Get on the plane and head to Korea

Arrive in Korea. Your airport arrival procedures will be discussed prior to your departure. Settle into your apartment and begin your training and orientation
