E2 Visa Application - Korean Consulate
 
Once Korean Immigration has completed the initial processing of your documents, and we have offered you your Visa Issuance number, it is time for you to visit the Korean Consulate in your region. Visit our Getting Started page for more details on the full E2 Visa process

It is rummored that all applicants who apply for a working visa to teach English in Korea after December 15th 2007, will be required to have an in person interview at the Korean Consulate granting their visa. At this time you will be expected to offer them the list of items below before they will stamp your passport with your working Visa. Once this is complete you can legally enter South Korea as a foreign worker for 1 year.
 
 
 
The Korean Consulate will require the following items from you in order to complete the visa process:
 
 
  • Completed visa application form (We will provide you with thiswhen the time comes)
  • Valid passport (Must have at least 1 full unused page to place the visa, No exceptions)
  • Visa application fee (Must be cash or money order only - money orders must be made out to "Korean Consulate General" ) STRICTLY NO PERSONAL CHEQUES!
  • Second set of transcripts (Where applicable. However having a second copy available is advised)
  • 1 passport sized photo (color photo and date stamped)

This process usually takes 3 to 5 business days, however occasionally this process can take longer depending on the consulates work load.
